Denver's Favorite Holiday Tradition
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7
The 9NEWS Parade of Lights, proudly produced by the Downtown Denver Partnership, will bring thousands of people Downtown on December 7, 2024, to experience the 50th anniversary of Denver's most magical tradition.
The parade will feature 40+ floats, giant balloons, marching bands, equestrian units, cultural displays and special guest appearances from Major Waddles the penguin, and Santa.

The 9NEWS Parade of Lights is produced by Denver Civic Ventures (DCV).


DCV is the Downtown Denver Partnership family's community events non-profit organization that organizes public parades, festivals, concerts, exhibits and other events to enhance the vitality of downtown Denver and to celebrate, encourage, foster and promote cultural diversity, community pride and appreciation for the visual and performing arts.


The Parade of Lights has been bringing smiles and holiday cheer to hundreds of thousands of families for more than three decades. People who attended the Parade as a child now bring their own children to be a part of this cherished tradition. And, the Parade is a free event, making it possible for everyone in the community to attend. Supporting Denver Civic Ventures allows the Downtown Denver Partnership to continue to organize free community events like the 9NEWS Parade of Lights.
